Semi-Annual User Group Meetings Aid in CRC's Success
Monday, December 03, 2007 - For Immediate Release

CRC Works with Partners to Bring JDF to Clients

As part of CRC's continuing effort to streamline customer workflows, CRC also announced its partnership with Network PDF to bring Job Definition Format (JDF) integration to all aspects of our clients' workflows. The new JDF file standard, which promises to yield greater automation, speed, and cost efficiency for professional printers, describes the intent of a printed piece and the process steps required to achieve that intent. Each JDF file is automatically routed through each workflow step, communicating pertinent information directly with production devices.

CRC has clear advantages over the competition when it comes to JDF. Over the past years, many CRC competitors have allowed themselves to be gobbled up by equipment manufactures looking to exploit management information systems as a way to sell more equipment. "Based on the feedback we receive from customers and prospective clients, the competition is more focused on their equipment sales and less interested in satisfying their clients' complete JDF workflow requirements. Other MIS providers may tout JDF integration but if you look closely you will find they are handcuffed to integrating with the devices sold by their parent company only, leaving their clients without the true end-to-end efficiencies JDF was meant to provide," states Michael Bihlmeier. In contrast, CRC's JDF integration is based on client requirements with no limitations or preferences to the brand of prepress, press, and post-press devices used.

CRC and Network PDF are currently working to bring JDF efficiencies to The Roark Group in Rogers, Arkansas by connecting with their Kodak Prinergy System. CRC's strategic partnerships help to augment CRC's current reach by bringing new technologies in products and services developed by third parties that integrate with THE System. CRC's approach to third-party development revolutionizes the way CRC engages with ideas and information ensuring their clients stay abreast of current technologies and have a clear path towards implementing them.

The excitement produced at the semi-annual CRC Users Group Association meetings is evidence that CRC continues to lead by listening to their clients. "The positive comments from all attendees point to an exciting future for both CRC and their customers," said CRC Users Group Association President Cindy Tanley. The next CRC Users Group Association meeting will be held in Scottsdale in May 2008.
