Wednesday, October 31, 2007 - For Immediate Release

CRC Information Systems, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the successful exhibition of THE System at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) '07 show held in Orlando, Florida on October 24-27, 2007. At the record-setting SGIA '07 trade show, CRC and THE System stood out from the nearly 600 exhibitors on the show floor through product demonstrations and direct interaction with current and future customers, showcasing CRC's continuing drive to provide the absolute finest, fully-integrated, business management solution for the graphic arts industry.

"The response to CRC and THE System at SGIA '07 was extremely positive," said Jim Drisler, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing of CRC Information Systems. CRC has been developing fully integrated business management systems designed specifically for the graphic arts industry since 1983. And it shows. THE System contains 100 of the most technologically advanced modules including eleven industry-specific estimating modules and a full suite of feature-rich e-Procurement solutions created to handle everything from on-line job entry and tracking to on-line ordering of finished goods over the Internet. Other modules which comprise THE System handle such areas as job costing, shop floor data collection, financial accounting, and sales and marketing.

A variety of needs were presented by attendees at the SGIA '07 trade show and the solutions presented clearly distinguished CRC as the resounding leader:

  • Responding quickly to customers with quotes that are based on accurate, easily produced estimates remains a priority among printing professionals. CRC's industry-specific estimating modules continue to set the standard by which all other business management software is measured. Loaded with tools and features, these modules are designed to be flexible enough to handle a wide variety of materials and operation calculations while remaining quick and easy to use.
  • As digital printing technologies advance, more and more printing professionals are looking for an estimating solution that effectively addresses the unique requirements of digital printing. THE System's Job Estimating module gives the user advanced abilities to generate precise, easily-produced estimates that will drive the rest of the system, using both a cost-based and price list approach.
  • Tighter delivery schedules mean that an effective scheduling application is needed in order to efficiently run a modern printing operation. THE System's Production Scheduling module provides printing professionals with the ideal balance of control and automation. Fed by real-time information by CRC's Automatic Data Collection module, the user is able to use actual data from his/her own shop floor to streamline the operation's schedule, cutting down on choke points, down time, and other inefficiencies which cost the company time and money.
  • Maintaining an accurate account of raw and finished good inventories is a laborious but critical step in running a profitable graphic arts company. THE System's Inventory Management modules assist the user to vastly improve control of their inventories, allowing them to improve their decision making, reduce excess inventory, and maintain tight operation and auditing controls.
  • The Internet has opened a vast array of new opportunities for the modern printing professional. THE System's full suite of e-Procurement modules allow users to meet the stringent demands of service-oriented print buyers and earn more of their business by providing them with the information they need when they want it.

Following the rousing response to THE System at SIGA '07, the CRC team is anxiously anticipating the opportunity at SGIA '08 in Atlanta, Georgia on October 15-18, 2008 to affirm THE System as the finest in business management software for the graphic arts industry.
